Nicole Ari Parker, an American actor, who has appeared on film and television in addition to in stage productions, is known for her role as Teri Joseph, the fiery lawyer in the show the show on Showtime called Soul Food. Her name is currently her maiden name of Nikki Kodjoe. Her talent for acting was evident from childhood. In a Maryland high school contest gave her with the award for best actress. Her career in acting started after she worked in the Washington Ballet Company and theater. The actress received lots of praise for her first big part as a character in The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love. It was followed by other films such as 'Boogie Nights Spark and Blue Streak. She was praised for her performance in Soul Food. She has also starred in TV shows such as Second Time Around" and Empire. In the past Parker was in numerous stages. Parker is tied to Boris Kodjoe, an actor and model. They have two children.

Contractor is a Mumbai-born Indian and who was a resident of Nigeria since she was seven years old, had a lot of knowledge about world cultures and traveling in such a short time. After attending boarding school during seven years of London Her family then moved to Toronto Canada where she spent most of her youth and into early adulthood. Contractor was a successful academic at the University of Toronto Toronto while also training as a ballerina. She attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts. This is a specialized school for arts and sciences, where she did not only study theater but danced too. Contractor started acting at the age of 16 and was a part of the theater for a decade after spending ten years in dance. When she graduated from high-school and was awarded a full scholarship for tuition to University of Toronto where she studied theatre with a double degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Contractor got her first part following her first year at university. She received rave reviews for her work during the 92 performances that the play was voted"the best show of 2002" by Canadian reviewers in 2002. Contractor was given the chance to join Stratford's conservatory, where only eight males and four women are accepted to take a crash course of 20 weeks on the classical stage that she eagerly took. Contractor got a place in the following season of productions and was offered the part as Hermia In A Midsummer Night's Dream.
