Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe hails from America and is a singer/songwriter from the country genre. Following the release of two singles and an album entitled Satisfied in 2007 she formed an ensemble called Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album called Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe has been in the public sector for more than fifteen years and has spent five of those years as deputy city manager in Iowa City. She is currently the Village Manager's Assistant and holds a wide range of responsibilities that include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department and overseeing grants and special projects. In Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of village services and working towards the vision for strategic planning of elected officials as well as the community. Ashley's duties include municipal planning budgeting, management of staff and collective bargaining. Ashley also focuses on climate initiatives. Ashley's involvement with national organizations and work within communities with various populations has provided her with an understanding of how groups that are of any size function. Ashley's courses concentrate on public leadership and management as seen from the viewpoint that of an experienced professional. Ashley's focus on adapting to current challenges and opportunities while navigating the complexities of intergovernmental and community relations and making ethical decisions provides context for both aspiring professional and current employees within public organizations.
